Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT focuses on changing unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors, improve emotional regulation and create coping strategies to solve problematic issues. CBT is one of the main modality I utilize in my practice as it aim to change our thought patterns, our conscious and unconscious beliefs.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
What makes SFBT stand out from CBT is that it places far more importance on discussing solutions than problems. Once I am able to recognize the problem with the assistance of the client, we are going to work on the solutions rather than dwelling on the problem. Since SFBT is a short form of therapy, we are not going to deep dive into your childhood and the ways in which your past has influenced your present.
Interpersonal
we will start by identifying one key interpersonal area- such as recent loss, conflict with someone important, a life transition, or difficulties building relationships-that feels most relevant right now. In our session, we will explore recent interactions, practice clearer communication, and try new ways of relating so you can get more supported feel better. You can expect practical focus, some homework between sessions, and steady progress toward stronger relationships and improved mood.
