Great to meet you!

I am Julie and I am a counselor and art therapist. I attended Ursuline College and obtained my B.A. in Art Therapy and my M.A. in Counseling and Art Therapy. Creativity is something I try to incorporate into my practice even when doing traditional therapy. I primarily work with teens and adults but have experience in working with children as young as 6 years old. I have experience working with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Grief and Loss, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, LGBTQIA+ persons, and Life transitions and adjustments.

My approach to therapy

I create a positive, warm, safe, non-judgmental environment that helps build trust in the therapeutic relationship. Utilizing talk therapy and art therapy techniques to help promote self-esteem, resilience, problem solving and self-discovery throughout the process. I utilize a person centered approach meeting the person where they are and walking along side them through the process and guiding the course of treatment to help a person reach their goals in therapy.

What you can expect from me

I work with the client to understand what goals they have for their therapeutic journey, review paperwork, confidentiality, and expectations. I take time to understand the persons unique journey and what they hoping to achieve.
