I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I am dedicated, compassionate and empathetic. I have experience in both inpatient crisis environment, and outpatient treatment programs. I have held positions as Lead Therapist in an adult psychiatric crisis stabilization unit as well as their outpatient services program, working now on private practice for the last 1.5 years. I am certified in EMDR therapy. Have extensive understanding on psychiatric medications.
I have provided care to diverse populations including adolescents, adults and veterans with anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, dual diagnosis, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, addiction, anger issues, women’s/post-partum issues, marital/premarital issues, domestic abuse/violence and life transitions.
I am also certified in EMDR, and have extensive experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.
Through these approaches, I empower clients with practical skills and tools to achieve their goals.
Clients can feel free to open up and process negative feelings, and be able to feel in a safe space where they can be themselves without any judgement, with someone that can understand them and put self in their shoes to provide them with the best care possible.
I am also bilingual and able to conduct therapy sessions in English and Spanish.
