Great to meet you!

My journey into mental health care began with a deep curiosity about the human experience and a strong desire to help others through their most vulnerable moments. I started my career over 25 years ago in emergency and trauma nursing, where I often saw the profound connection between physical crises and emotional pain. Over time, I realized that true healing goes far beyond treating physical symptoms, it requires understanding the whole person: their mind, body, and environment.

I went on to earn my Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of San Diego and received formal psychiatric training at the University of California, San Diego. These experiences deepened my commitment to a comprehensive, biopsychosocial approach to care. Today, as a triple board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, I feel incredibly privileged to support individuals in finding resilience, meaning, and balance in their lives. Mental health is deeply personal, and I strive to create a compassionate, collaborative space where people feel truly seen and supported.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is rooted in genuine human connection. I believe healing begins when we feel truly seen, heard, and accepted, and that’s what I strive to offer every person I work with. With over 25 years in the medical field, I bring both clinical expertise and heartfelt compassion to our sessions. I aim to understand the full context of your life, honoring your unique story and supporting you with evidence-based tools tailored to your needs. Most importantly, I meet you where you are, with warmth, curiosity, and a steady, nonjudgmental presence, so we can uncover the path toward healing, together.

What you can expect from me

Working with me means stepping into a space where you are welcomed exactly as you are. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply in need of support, we’ll move at your pace. I bring honesty, empathy, and a collaborative spirit to our work. I value connection, authenticity, and even a bit of humor, because therapy should feel human. You don’t have to navigate this alone. I’m here to walk alongside you with care, clarity, and unwavering support.
