Great to meet you!

You don't have to have everything figured out to begin healing. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to build a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and aligned with your values. I believe healing happens through a collaborative relationship built on trust, compassion, and genuine connection. My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed, integrating evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), polyvagal-informed interventions (PVT), mindfulness-based strategies, and Motivational Interviewing to meet each client's unique needs.

I earned my Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. John's University in New York City. My experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across community mental health, intensive outpatient treatment programs, Head Start consultation, and private practice. I have extensive experience supporting individuals in recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns while helping clients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and create lasting, meaningful change.

As a former collegiate athlete, I have a special passion for working with athletes navigating performance pressure, injury recovery, confidence challenges, burnout, and the mental demands of competition. I understand the unique challenges of balancing athletics with everyday life and enjoy helping clients strengthen both their mental health and mental performance.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, I'm committed to providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where you can heal, grow, and move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and purpose.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as a trusted guide and confidant. I strive to create a safe, authentic, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being yourself, exploring your experiences, and working toward meaningful change.

I deeply believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of healing. My goal is to create a space where you feel truly seen, understood, and accepted while we work together to navigate challenges, uncover patterns, and recognize the strengths that already exist within you. I believe that each person’s journey is unique, and therapy is not about comparing yourself to others or becoming someone else—it is about understanding yourself more deeply, embracing your individuality, and discovering the favorite version of yourself.

Therapy is a space to honor and nurture the hard moments, and it is also a space to reconnect with the parts of yourself that bring back confidence, pride and purpose. Healing does not always have to feel heavy—there is room for laughter, lightness, curiosity, and moments of joy as you rediscover the strengths and qualities that make you uniquely you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to begin building a genuine connection and getting to know one another—not only the challenges that brought you to therapy, but also who you are as a person. We will take time to explore what led you to seek support, your hopes and goals for therapy, and the experiences that have shaped your story.

I understand that starting therapy can feel vulnerable and even a little intimidating. My goal is to help nurture those fears by creating a warm, welcoming space where you feel comfortable being yourself and know that you are not being judged. Everyone experiences, processes, and grows in different ways, so part of our work together is learning what approaches, tools, and strategies feel most supportive and meaningful for you.

You guide the pace and direction of our sessions, and together we will create a therapeutic experience that fits your unique needs. My hope is that by the end of our first session, you feel heard, understood, and more at ease knowing you have a safe space to begin healing, growing, and reconnecting with yourself.
