Great to meet you!

This time is hard. It takes courage to reach out. There are many right ways to grieve, I'm here to help you find yours. I've specialized in griefwork since 2009 with experience in bereavement, pregnancy loss, loss of health due to infertility and cancer, and caregiving. I'm licensed in both Illinois and Indiana and obtained a dual Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and Art Therapy from Adler University.

My approach to therapy

Your grief is unique to you. You can expect to share your story and concerns in your first sessions. I look through an Adlerian lens by exploring how you are doing in family, work, community and lifestyle. We will take a holistic approach to your growth. In addition to traditional talk therapy, we will employ various tools such as:

  • expressive therapy exploration,
  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) which is also known as tapping,
  • mindfulness,
  • integrate coping strategies.

What you can expect from me

It may be hard to see right now, you grief will change over time and you will grow during our time together. I will learn about you and your situation within our first session in addition to identifying the focus of our time together. Subsequent sessions will incorporate strengths with coping strategies and processing to make meaning of your experiences. Life is changing for you. I'm hopeful for you and honored to walk beside you.
