Great to meet you!

You may be getting through work, family, and everyday responsibilities while privately feeling exhausted, anxious, disconnected, or unlike yourself. Perhaps you’re adjusting to a chronic illness, struggling after a traumatic experience, grieving someone you love, facing infertility, or trying to navigate the emotional changes that can come during pregnancy or after having a baby. You might be the man who has always handled things on his own, or the person using alcohol or other substances to quiet thoughts that become harder to escape at night. I bring warmth and compassion to these conversations, but I’ll also be honest with you when I notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck. You won’t be judged for how you’ve coped or pressured to share more than you’re ready for. My goal is to give you a place where you can finally put down some of what you’ve been carrying and begin feeling more like yourself again.

My approach to therapy

We’ll look at both what’s happening in your life now and the experiences that may have shaped how you respond to stress, relationships, loss, and uncertainty. That might mean understanding why your mind immediately expects the worst, why you shut down when something reminds you of the past, why perfection never feels good enough, or why certain coping habits provide temporary relief but create bigger problems later. We’ll work on practical ways to manage anxiety, depression, sleepless nights, cravings, and overwhelming emotions while also addressing the deeper patterns underneath them. When you’re facing something you cannot simply “fix,” such as grief, infertility, a chronic condition, or major life changes, we’ll focus on making room for difficult emotions without allowing them to consume your life. I’ll challenge you when it can help, but never without understanding where you’re coming from. The goal is not just to feel better during our conversations, but to notice meaningful changes in how you think, cope, and live outside of them.

What you can expect from me

You don’t need to walk into our first conversation knowing exactly what’s wrong or how to explain everything you’ve been feeling. We’ll start with what has been hardest lately, whether that’s waking up anxious, feeling numb or depressed, struggling to sleep, grieving a loss, adjusting to your health, navigating pregnancy or postpartum changes, or realizing the ways you’ve been coping are no longer working. I’ll ask questions to understand how these struggles are affecting your daily life, relationships, and sense of yourself, while giving you space to share at a pace that feels comfortable. We’ll talk about what you would genuinely like to feel or handle differently rather than trying to solve everything at once. By the end, we’ll have a clearer understanding of what’s bringing you in and where we can begin.
