Great to meet you!

My name I Julie Goch & I've been married 20 years to my wonderful husband I met on Match.com. I have a step-daughter & we currently have three fur babies that we adore!

I attended Malone University where I obtained my Masters in Education degree with a concntration on Clinical Counseling. My work there focused on working with children and families. I've worked in residential, home-based, office based, group intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization settings, so my experience is vast over the last 15 years!

I specialize in treating kids with Anxiety & Depression ages 4 to 23. I also work with behavior problems, ADHD, and family counseling. All of my career has been working with kids on with all sorts of issues, so I feel confident in my work.

My approach to therapy

I believe in a hands on approach with kids. They learn best by doing. I utilize a variety of techniques, including Play Therapy, Creative (art) Therapy, Mindfulness, Experiencial Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Client Centered Therapy. I would say I use Play, Creative and Mindfulness Therapies the most as kids respond to those the best.

What you can expect from me

My clients walk through my office doors struggling with crippling anxiety and I work with them on developing coping strategies that are immediate & I provide an atmosphere of safety. I believe a child should be empowered, as well as their parents, because mental health is no easy feat. Teaching kids to believe they are capable of conquering their symptoms is truly gratifying and that's why I find success with my patients.
