Great to meet you!
My style centers on empowering clients to improve their lives through collaborative goal-setting and a focus on mental health and well-being. I take a direct yet supportive approach, asking thoughtful questions to guide clients toward their own insights and solutions. I value open communication and welcome feedback to ensure our work is tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences.
Together, we will develop a treatment plan and set goals based on what you identify as most important. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques to help you achieve your goals, reduce symptoms, and enhance your overall quality of life. My journey to becoming a therapist has been shaped by a diverse range of personal and professional experiences. Growing up and into my early 30s, I led a very different life. In my 30s, I began my career as a substance abuse counselor, then returned to school to earn my master’s degree in psychology, graduating in 2004. I gained experience in various roles, including working in a prison and as a social worker. Early in my therapy career, I faced a significant challenge when I was diagnosed with cancer, which halted my career and gave me firsthand understanding of the trauma that illness can bring. After recovering, I served as a therapist for the county for almost 20 years and now work from home with Rula.
