Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should be a supportive, collaborative process that helps you move toward meaningful change. My approach is primarily solution-focused, with a strong emphasis on individualized treeatment planning, identifying clear and achievable goals, and regularly monitoring progress toward those goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and goal-oriented. Through open-ended questioning, I help clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors about their experiences. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize patterns that may no longer be serving them. At the same time, I believe clients know themselves best. Rather than telling you what you should do, I work alongside you to explore options, recognize your strengths, and develop solutions that feel realistic and meaningful to you. Througout therapy, we will regularly revisit your goals and progress so that our work remains focused on what you want to achieve.

What you can expect from me

I begin by introducing myself and explaining the counseling process, including confidentiality and its limits. We will also discuss the roles each of us play in the counseling process, scheduling, and what to do in the event of an emergency. From there, I'll focus on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. We will talk about your concerns, experiences, strengths, and what you hope to gain from counseling. Together we will begin identifying goals and discussing what progress might look for you. My objective for the first session is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you feel heard and understood, while giving us a clear sense of how we can move forward together.
