Great to meet you!

Welcome! My goal is to partner with families to help clients live happy, healthy lives. Whether you've experienced side effects from medication or haven't seen the progress you hoped for, I'm here to work with you toward a solution.

Finding the right medication is only part of the picture — truly understanding what's happening in your life matters just as much. That's why I incorporate brief, solution-focused therapy into every visit and make a point of staying in close communication with your other providers.

As a child and adolescent psychiatrist, I have extensive training and experience treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, and a range of other behavioral health challenges. I also enjoy working with young adults in their twenties who are navigating the unique transitions and challenges that come with that stage of life.

I have a special interest in women's health — particularly during the perinatal period and menopause — as well as the unique needs of healthcare workers.

My approach to therapy

I work best with clients who appreciate having a doctor empower them to take control of their own care. There are often many options for treatment, and I enjoy reviewing these with families and then letting them choose the one that best aligns with their goals.

Regarding controlled substances, I treat ADHD in children and adolescents, but only after seeing the client for an in person visit. I do not prescribe Benzodiazepines (which includes Xanax, Ativan, Valium, Klonopin, etc.)

What you can expect from me

During the first session, I will ask questions about what symptoms you are currently experiencing. Any past treatments will be reviewed, including what has made things better or worse. A family history can also be very helpful, as medication that has worked for a family member may be more likely to work for you.
