Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker with 15 years of experience in assisting people with mental wellness needs. I obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Edinboro University and then completed my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Edinboro University in 2013.

Since 2017 I have been a practicing licensed clinical social worker. Julie provided case management services to geriatrics, children, adults, and families in a hospital setting as a mental health social worker. I have also provided one-on-one and group therapy at a crisis residential unit, served on multiple interdisciplinary teams, and supervised other social workers in the mental health field. I find purpose in offering a safe, understanding environment where clients can freely explore their experiences. Personal experiences shape a deep empathy for others' struggles and drive my commitment to giving back. I am attracted to a career that encourages ongoing personal growth and resilience. I work with relationship issues, family conflicts, grief, intimacy-related issues, parenting issues, anger management, self-esteem, coping with life changes, ADHD, jealousy, life purpose, mood disorders, OCD, and self-love.

My approach to therapy

I help clients with stress and anxiety, career difficulties, and depression. I work with you to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy takes courage, and I am proud of you for getting started. My approach utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Gottman Method, Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help you navigate challenges and build the skills you need.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll get to know each other and I'll answer any questions you have. We'll discuss what's bringing you to therapy and what you hope to work on. I'll share my approach and explain how sessions might look. We'll go over confidentiality so you can feel comfortable sharing at your own pace.
