Great to meet you!

If you are a mom focused on developing secure attachment with your baby, or the parent of a child experiencing big emotions, I am here for you. Ever have that "gut feeling" about something, but cannot quite make out what it means? That is your interoception—the communication between mind and body—trying to get your attention. Earning your trust and helping you establish a safe, empowering baseline for your care is an honor I hold deeply. For the past 11 years, my work as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor has centered on supporting adults, toddlers, and children through ADHD, trauma, and the complexities of pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum life. After earning my Master of Arts in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University, I have found profound meaning in helping individuals navigate anxiety, maternal mental health, and relationship issues. I find great fulfillment and alignment in being a therapist, and in my spare time, I enjoy the beach, cooking, and dancing.

My approach to therapy

I believe that balancing clinical expertise with an authentic, somatic connection fosters the most genuine emotional growth. My approach to therapy is based on building healthy, secure relationships and learning about how our body's sensations inform our mood and behavior. I utilize Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT) to help; a trauma-informed and relationship-based specialty care supporting healthy relationships, attunement, and alignment with yourself, others, environments, and community. There is no expectation of dance background to participate, just come as you are. I work to highlight your strengths and incorporate movement expression to supplement the talk therapy experience. Sessions often begin with breathwork and mindfulness practice, followed by exploration of space to support movement expression, and end with gesture and verbal processing. Together we will hone your mind/body skills to enhance the trust in yourself, create a healthy space for creative expression and emotional processing, and outline tangible goals to ensure our work translates into lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Taking the first step takes immense courage, and my hope is that our initial time together acts as a quiet refuge where you can safely step away from the chaotic demands of daily life. In our first session, I strive to cultivate a calm, non-judgmental environment right from the start. I will invite you to tell your stories and learn your preferred movement qualities at a natural, comfortable pace without any pressure. We will discuss what brings you into therapy, gently exploring your history and some goals you have for the future. Time permitting, some nervous system health education will be provided so you can better understand the coping skills you have been using thus far. I will hold the space for you to explore your relationship to your body, movement, emotions, and secure attachment, ensuring you leave feeling fully heard and supported.
