Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Julie and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor with over 20 years of counseling experience. I specialize in working with children, military personnel and families, and veterans navigating trauma and PTSD, grief, anxiety, depression, family issues, stress management, relationship issues, adoption challenges, behavioral issues, chronic illness, developmental disorders, education and learning disabilities, parenting concerns, school issues, self-esteem struggles, spirituality, and more.

I offer individual therapy, child or adolescent therapy, and family therapy, all through telehealth for both counseling and supervision. The most successful clients understand that, though this will not be easy, it is worth it for change and growth in their life. I enjoy walking beside these clients and supporting them in this journey.

Having spent over 20 years in the field, I love what I do and helping people make meaningful changes in their lives. Whether you're a parent worried about your child's behavior at school, a military family navigating deployment stress, a veteran working through trauma, or someone grieving a loss, I'm here to walk with you in the journey.

My approach to therapy

From the first session, I want you to feel heard and encouraged. The story of what brought you to this moment is important to the work we will do- together. I want to make sure that you have all the time you need to cover this aspect completely. Next, it's important to set goals to get a roadmap to continue working on what's important to you. I look forward to hearing your story, setting your goals, and working on what's most important to you!

My style is energetic, creative, and warm. I enjoy working with clients who come to counseling ready for change. Sometimes change is difficult, but I am here to support you every step of the way. Whether you are new to counseling or have had some experience, there are things that you can do to take control of your life. Let's talk about what will work best for you.

What you can expect from me

It's important to feel comfortable in the counseling room because change is hard work! Throughout the entire process, I want you to feel heard, valued, and encouraged in the steps you take for growth.

In our first session, we'll talk about what brought you in and what you're hoping will change. We'll discuss your goals for counseling and explore the types of therapy that will work best for you or your child. If you're bringing in a child, I'll make sure they feel comfortable and safe in a way that's appropriate for their age.

You can expect an energetic, creative, and warm space where you feel heard and supported. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling hopeful and clear about the path forward. Whether you're looking for counseling or supervision, I'm here to help you.
