Great to meet you!

My name is Julie Schopper.

I graduated from the university of Kansas in 1986 with a Master's In Social Welfare.

I have 40 plus years of experience in working with individuals with a variety of issues. I began my journey as a therapist in Kansas City and I am now located in Colorado. I have worked both inpatient and outpatient facilities at several Mental Health centers and Vet Center.

Life is full of changes and challenges that can feel overwhelming at times, leaving us stuck in cycles of fear, doubt, and uncertainty. Often, we replay the same thoughts over and over in our minds, hoping for a solution but feeling trapped instead. It’s easy to lose sight of the strength and potential within ourselves. Helping others through these moments means creating a safe space to explore those feelings. Breaking free from unhelpful patterns and embracing new perspective, we can move forward and become the best version of ourselves- stronger, more resilient, and ready to navigate life with purpose.

My approach to therapy

I take a holistic approach to therapy, focusing on creating a nurturing environment where clients can explore their feelings, develop resilience and personal growth

. Using evidence based tools from CBT, Solution-Focused, and Client Centered therapies.

My clients describe me as laid back, authentic therapist with a good sense of humor, offering a unique and approachable style that makes clients feel at ease while navigating life's challenges.

What you can expect from me

Embrace change as an opportunity to grow, and let your motivation fuel the journey. My hope is we are able to work together as a team to navigate through your challenges and develop skills that you will be able to use for future bumps in the road.

I want to create a nurturing environment where you feel safe to explore feelings and grow.
