Great to meet you!

I focus on helping individuals and couples to gain understanding of themselves and others so they can live a more purposeful life. I have been a counselor for the past 11 years. I graduated from La Roche College, Pittsburgh, Pa. in 2010 with a BA in Psychology and from Chatham University, Pittsburgh, Pa. in 2012 with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. My initial experiences included working with individuals who were struggling with some form of addiction (alcohol, drugs, eating disorders). I also have completed extensive trainings and have experience working with the following issues: trauma, grief, and relationships challenges as well as anxiety and depression. I also provide support through various life adjustments (losses, new job/career). I incorporate use of the following therapies: CBT (cognitive behavior therapy), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care as well emotionally-focused therapy for couples.

My approach to therapy

I provide guidance for individuals and couples in identifying barriers to more effective daily functioning, We will determine your specific needs, goals, and strengths, as well as your personal values and successes.

What you can expect from me

When we first meet, I will be gaining insight about your experiences and your current needs. It is my role to manage the direction of our conversation so you feel comfortable and supported right from the start. Any questions you have will be addressed. We will also begin to identify your goals for therapy. Most people report that they feel at ease shortly after our session begins.
