I started my Nurse Practitioner career in Family Practice. I quickly recognized the mind body connection and the need to focus on the mental health of my patients. I loved the challenge of finding the root cause of a problem and not just treating the symptoms. I went back to school and specialized as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have worked in many varied psychiatric fields from kids to geriatrics and have served all diagnoses.
Medications are just one of the many tools to help patient's mental health. I practice holistically and integrate from many modalities to individualize my patients care. I work with patients who are neurodivergent , have ADHD, PTSD, and children struggling in school due to underlying undiagnosed issues. I have experience with depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizoaffective, adjustment disorders and many other diagnoses.
I am very optimistic, realistic and work with you to find answers. I individualize treatments for each patient and don't believe that there is one answer or treatment that fits everyone. You are more than a diagnosis and you deserve to be heard and seen as an individual.
