Great to meet you!

Welcome to my profile! Let me introduce myself like I would if I met you in person! I'm Julie and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist. Therapy is my second career though my first, customer service, was very close to therapy yet resolutions were expected in a shorter timeframe. Many would say being a "therapist at heart" has been my lifelong story.

My approach to therapy

Relationship is very important to me outside & inside the therapy room. Creating a safe space to share difficult stories is always my goal. Extensive training in trauma and relational stress helped me create a narrative and relational method to support clients on their journey. Use of creative therapy techniques like art, music, somatic awareness, brain connections and play creates space where the hard work feels less heavy. Last but not least, we will laugh! Its good for the soul.

What you can expect from me

My goal for each session is that clients leave feeling better about their life than when they entered the office. That may mean their load is lighter, they have a different perspective, they are more confident or they have new tools. All these things will help them improve the quality of their life until next session. It is important that the work done in therapy add value to the lives of clients.
