Great to meet you!

Hi. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who offers distinctively Christian counseling. I draw on theories and techniques of Christian counseling and modern psychology, operating primarily as a cognitive behaviorist. I have worked in several counseling settings, with all age clients.

My approach to therapy

I believe that an individual's experiences, relationships, values and challenges shape how they navigate life. When life gets hard, it can help to sit with someone who can listen non judgmentally and offer a fresh perspective or insight into your situation. I strive to meet clients where they are and offer a compassionate and supportive space to facilitate steps toward growth. When desired, I incorporate concerns of faith and spiritual perspectives into the counseling process

What you can expect from me

I desire to meet people where they are and help them get to where they want to be. In the first session, I try to understand the circumstances bringing the client in to counseling as well as begin to gather the bigger picture of influences over the client's lifetime. Going forward, I collaborate with the client regarding goals for counseling. I work to balance the time between processing struggles and providing education of skills for coping and managing one's struggles.
