Great to meet you!

Hello.

My name is Juliet Hernandez, and I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing in Florida.

I believe that every person has the potential to learn and grow from their experiences.

However, sometimes our past, present circumstances, or our own thoughts can get in the way of us reaching our full potential. In my practice, I work with clients navigating difficult life transitions or experiencing anxiety or sadness.

Our sessions will provide you with a safe space to slow down, explore your experiences, and identify patterns that might be contributing to your thoughts, feelings, and behavior. My goal is to help you feel heard and understood as you work toward healing, developing greater self-awareness, and finding a path towards well-being.

My approach to therapy

In my experience, the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of treatment. My primary goal is to create a safe, trusting environment where you can openly explore your experiences and challenges.

Together, we'll identify your priorities and develop a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. I draw from a combination of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive, Existential, Person-Centered, and Solution-Focused Therapy, to support your goals and help you move toward meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

It is normal to experience some anxiety before your first therapy session, especially if you're unsure what to expect.

During our first meeting, we'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your previous experiences with therapy, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions about my approach, confidentiality, or any other concerns you may have.

This first session is also an opportunity for you to decide whether you feel comfortable working with me. If we decide to move forward together, we'll discuss your goals for therapy, determine a meeting frequency that fits your needs, and review scheduling. My goal is for you to feel informed, comfortable, and involved in decisions about your care from the very beginning.
