Great to meet you!

Born in Puerto Rico, raised in The Bronx in a Hispanic single-parent household, Army veteran before completing my Bachelor's Degree in Forensic Psychology. After working in the field for a few years, I obtained my Master's in Science for Mental Health Counseling and completed training in trauma-focused techniques. In my practice, i value genuine interaction to enact change. I also value the individual experience as the client is the expert of their own experience.

My approach to therapy

My approach in working with clients is to view each one as an individual and not a diagnosis. I explore their needs and create a game plan for treatment based on what they share. I emphasize somatic expression in my sessions because i find they reveal a lot about the client's experience. Sharing vulnerability can be challenging for clients. However, its exploration and validation encourages authentic discourse.

What you can expect from me

My expectation in regards to the takeaway from sessions is always "what have i learned about myself today?" The client comes in with questions, and my role is to assist the client in obtaining an answer utilizing their own expertise. The hope is, being that they are the experts of their own experience, that they will have moments of clarity that provides the answer they seek.
