Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should help you do more than manage symptoms - it should help you understand what is driving them. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, eating disorders, life transitions, OCD, and patterns that keep showing up even when you are trying hard to move forward. Many clients come to therapy feeling stuck in survival mode, overwhelmed by old experiences, or frustrated that coping skills alone have not been enough. My goal is to create a supportive, active, and empowering space where we can identify the root causes of what you are carrying, understand how past experiences may be affecting your current life, and begin building practical tools for lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is empowering, solution-oriented, direct, and collaborative. I have over 3 years of experience using EMDR and other evidence-based approaches to help clients process difficult experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful change. In session, we may work on identifying unhelpful patterns, understanding trauma responses, building emotional regulation skills, strengthening self-esteem, and exploring the thoughts, beliefs, and past experiences that may be keeping you stuck. Early sessions focus on understanding your concerns, building a strong therapeutic foundation, and identifying the areas where deeper work may be helpful. When clinically appropriate, we can begin addressing those underlying issues within the first few sessions so therapy feels focused, useful, and connected to your goals.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will begin by getting clear on what brings you to therapy and what you hope will feel different moving forward. We will talk about your current concerns, your history, your strengths, and the patterns or symptoms that may be affecting your daily life, whether that includes anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, low self-esteem, life transitions, or feeling stuck. My style is supportive but active, which means I will listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help us begin shaping a clear direction for our work together. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and more confident that therapy can help you move forward with practical tools, deeper insight, and meaningful support.
