Great to meet you!

Whatever brought you here, there's more to you than the symptoms, the diagnosis, or the chapter of your life that's been hardest to live through. I work with adults navigating identity, recovery, trauma, and the human questions that show up when the labels stop being enough. Over the past five years, I've worked most closely with LGBTQ+ clients, folks in or after addiction recovery, and people stepping down from higher levels of care like PHP or IOP. Wherever you are in your journey, I'd be honored to meet you in it.

My approach to therapy

I'm an existential therapist, which means I see clients first and foremost as human beings navigating human experiences, not as diagnoses or disorders. Symptoms and labels can help us understand patterns, but they don't define who you are or the fullness of your story. In sessions, I might draw on EMDR for trauma work, narrative therapy to help you re-author the parts of your story that need it, or humanistic and Gestalt techniques to bring you more fully into the present moment. Mostly though, sessions feel like an honest, unhurried conversation between two human beings.

What you can expect from me

The first session is simply about getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. There's no pressure to have everything figured out or to dive into anything before you feel ready. We'll talk about what you're hoping this can be, what's gotten you to this point, and how I work. You'll leave with a sense of whether this feels right. You don't have to be in crisis or have the perfect words to start. You just have to show up.
