Great to meet you!

I am excited to work with you. My goal is to help empower you through various transitions and challenges. I offer competent and compassionate care through my experience working with hospitals, skilled nursing/assisted living, hospice, and outpatient practices. My areas of focus are on anxiety, depression, ASD, and ADHD. I specialize in Aging and Health and LGBTQIA+ services through my experience as an Aging and Health Fellow at Rutgers University.

My approach to therapy

At Kapwa Carino Counseling, I provide a compassionate, culturally responsive space for individuals seeking meaningful change. My practice is guided by the values of Kapwa (our shared humanity and interconnectedness) and Cariño (gentle warmth and care). I partner with you to navigate life’s complexities with tenderness and clinical expertise. Through telehealth, I offer a secure, accessible environment where you can feel deeply understood, honored for who you are, and empowered to heal in community.

My approach to therapy is person-centered and focusing on cultural competence. My practice includes:

Person Centered Therapy (PCT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

What you can expect from me

We will have our first introductory session to explore why you are here and what you hope to achieve in our sessions together. We will also explore your personal and family history as it pertains to your mental health. It is important that we work closely and ensure you feel as comfortable you can be. Vulnerability can be hard work!
