Great to meet you!

My name is Justin, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who provides both generalist therapy for a wide array of life concerns and symptoms, as well as specialized treatment for trauma-based disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorders. I believe that effective therapy requires both a genuine working relationship and a therapist knowledgeable about and experienced with clinical and evidence-based treatments. I focus on interweaving these components to provide you with a safe space to process the many uncertainties and trials of life, while also being confident that any mental illness will be treated with modern, research-based therapies.

My approach to therapy

To this end, I am formally trained in a variety of therapies, including Eye Movement and Desensitization (EMDR), Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Having begun my career in a community mental health setting, I am experienced in working with a wide range of symptoms, experieces and diagnosis, including:

Trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder

Anxiety-spectrum disorders and fear

Obsessive compulsive disorder

Alcohol use disorder (alcoholism) and addictions

Grief and complicated grief

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder

Major depression

Existential and spiritual concerns

Borderline and other personality disorders

What you can expect from me

While clinical experience and understanding is important, I am a firm believer that a the core of healing occurs outside of measurable bounds, in a space where the client is understood, seen without judgment, and collaborated with as an equal in the therapy room. We all suffer in this life. We do not need to suffer alone.
