Clients should know I am a husband and a father and that I practice the strategies in my own family that I utilize in therapy. My career began in business, then I was a youth pastor for a time, and then became the director of 3 residential children’s homes in South Florida, before entering the clinical field and becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. The treatment areas I focus on are all related to family life. I work with children, adolescents, parents and couples who may be struggling with mild to severe difficulties, either with individual problems or attachment ruptures, or with family dynamics or relational trouble. My background has provided me with a unique skillset to address these needs for individuals, families, and couples.

The modalities I use therapy sessions include Reality Therapy (with choice theory) and Play Therapy for young clients, Attachment Therapy, Trust-based Relational Interventions (TBRI), Trauma Focused CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing, Faith-based Counseling, Family Systems Therapy, and Couples Therapy (Circumplex and Gottman Models).

Clients can expect to gain emotional and mental strength, a knowledge of how choices effect outcomes, clarity of direction, new or repaired attachment bonds with loved ones, existential growth, deepened trust between close relationships, parenting skills, an understanding of healthy boundaries, and peace and reconciliation for families and couples.
