Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Justin and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in a variety of settings, from schools to shelters to community mental health clinics, and with a range of clients, from children to older adults. I have found that across all settings and people, the most important aspect of therapy is developing a relationship in which the client feels safe, respected, and connected. This will be my priority while I join you on your journey to healing.

My approach to therapy

During our time together I will draw upon various evidence-based modalities, incorporating a psychodynamic approach, EMDR, and CBT. Through a collaborative process, we will identify your goals and work towards these goals by bringing awareness to patterns of behavior and thought that may have once served you well, but are no longer. I am strength-based in my approach and recognize that you are the expert of your life.

What you can expect from me

I know that first sessions can be unnerving. During our first session together, you should expect to be provided with the opportunity to share your goals, as much of your story as you're comfortable with, and to do so in a warm, encouraging, and at times, humorous space. I will happily answer any questions you have about the therapeutic process and about my approach. I look forward to hearing from you and becoming a witness to your journey.
