Great to meet you!

My name is Justine Vaughn. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Chemical Dependency Counselor, and a Certified First Responder Counselor. I graduated with my Masters degree in 2019 and have worked in a variety of settings with those who struggle with depression, trauma, substance use, and other challenges. I am trained in EMDR, CBT, CPT and other approaches. I would be honored to work with you in building a strong foundation from which you can create the life you want.

My approach to therapy

As a counselor, my goal is to create a space for an individual to feel comfortable enough to open up and begin to explore their challenges, successes, and the ways that they can begin working towards the life they want. My interactions with individuals are based on non-judgemental compassion, empathy, and a trauma informed approach.

What you can expect from me

During sessions, I want a client to be comfortable experiencing whichever emotions that may come up without feeling the need to distance themselves from that. Counseling, by nature, will evoke emotions and feelings that have likely been bottled up for long periods of time. I believe that by learning to feel these, it is possible to begin to understand the process and learn how to cope with these in a healthier way.
