Great to meet you!

Sometimes what hurts lives inside us — as anxiety, overwhelm, or feeling stuck. Other times it shows up between us — as conflict, distance, or disconnection in our relationships. I believe that what happens inside us and what happens between us are deeply connected, and that healing can begin from either place.

I work with individuals and couples who want more clarity, emotional safety, and meaningful connection — with themselves and with the people they love.

I am a Korean American, bilingual (English/Korean) therapist, and I bring a culturally sensitive and inclusive lens to my work. I understand how culture, family systems, and lived experience shape how we love, communicate, and protect ourselves.

You don’t have to fit into one box to be understood with me. All parts of your story are welcome.

My approach to therapy

My work is emotionally focused, attachment-based, and trauma-informed. I am trained in EMDR and have completed the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Externship in the model developed by Dr. Sue Johnson.

This means we don’t just talk about what’s happening on the surface. We slow things down and look at what’s happening underneath — in your emotions, your nervous system, your patterns, and your need for safety and connection.

Some clients come to therapy wanting to understand themselves, their anxiety, or their past experiences. Others come because their relationship feels stuck, distant, or painful. There is no wrong place to begin.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll set the foundation for our journey together. This is your moment to articulate what has led you to therapy specific issues, hurdles, or aspirations you’d like to work on. I will guide with a few questions to help me understand your background and experiences, but your comfort is my priority! You can also ask me anything about therapy as we create a welcoming and safe space where you can feel heard and supported. I’m looking forward to starting this process with you.
