Great to meet you!

Dr. K.D. Ferrari is committed to getting to know you and supporting you on your journey through change and encouraging self-acceptance when needed. She will help you examine the way past experiences shape current behaviors, learn how to stop self-destructive patterns, and help you find your self-compassion while turning your vision for your life into your reality.

My approach to therapy

I have over 25 years of experience in the behavioral health field and offer specialized services for personal development, and professional/corporate coaching and training, parent training, codependency, creating and enforcing boundaries, social and executive functioning skills training, as well as intensive DBT, CBT, and complex PTSD programs. Outside of direct clinical practice with adults, children, and adolescents, I have a background in corporate psychological threat assessment, school-based services, macro practice, radical environmental criminology and social justice, rural communities and small farms, animal-assisted therapy, and sexuality and intimacy.

What you can expect from me

During the intake, you will undergo an in-depth bio-psychosocial assessment, where we review your physical and mental developmental history, as well as any past treatment, and if so what has and has not worked for you. We then work together to determine the best treatment plan which is tailored to your individual needs. I ask all clients if they prefer affirmative support with a gentle ear, or being coaxed out of their comfort zone to maximize mental and emotional growth- the path to wellness is defined by the client, their needs, and goals. I enjoy working with clients who are trying to change their lives by exploring maladaptive patterns and having the courage to do uncomfortable things to work towards the life they would like to explore.
