Great to meet you!

I am a licensed therapist with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Fort Hays State University. My professional background includes experience as a school counselor, hospital-based therapist, community mental health provider, and private practice clinician. These diverse settings have strengthened my ability to meet clients exactly where they are and understand the many challenges individuals and families face.

I am known for being compassionate, caring, and genuinely invested in the well-being of the people I serve. My clinical passions include perinatal mental health—supporting individuals and families through pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood—as well as mental health within agricultural communities. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow.

My approach to therapy

I’m committed to creating a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions. I draw from a range of approaches tailored to your needs in the moment. Building a trusting, authentic relationship is at the heart of my work, and I believe feeling truly heard can be transformative. With warmth, compassion, and a touch of humor, I’ll walk with you on your path of growth and self-discovery. I know how important it is to feel seen and heard, and I strive to create a connection where you feel safe to be your authentic self.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. We’ll start by talking about what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to gain from our work together. I’ll ask some questions about your history, current stressors, and any symptoms you may be experiencing—nothing you’re not ready to share, just enough to help me understand how to best support you.

We’ll also discuss what therapy looks like with me: my approach, what you can expect moving forward, and how we can work together as a team. This is your space, so you’re encouraged to ask questions, share concerns, or tell me anything that would help you feel more at ease.

By the end of the session, we’ll identify a few goals or directions for future work, but there’s no pressure to have everything figured out right away. The first session is simply a chance for us to get to know each other, build trust, and begin creating a plan that feels right for you.
