Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome! My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Montevallo. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of mental health settings, including the JBS Crisis Center and forensic mental health services. These experiences have allowed me to work with individuals facing crisis, severe mental illness, trauma, anxiety, depression, and complex life challenges.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to meet each client where they are with compassion, authenticity, and respect. Whether you’re navigating a difficult season, managing ongoing mental health concerns, or working toward personal growth, I am committed to helping you build the skills and confidence needed to reach your goals.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is integrative, meaning I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy. Through CBT, I help clients recognize and challenge unhelpful thought patterns while developing practical coping strategies for everyday life. My person-centered approach emphasizes creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel genuinely heard, valued, and empowered. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change, and I work collaboratively with clients to help them achieve their goals and build lasting resilience.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my goal is to get to know you and create a space where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant personal history, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process.

This initial session is also an opportunity for us to build rapport, answer any questions you may have, and begin identifying goals for treatment. Together, we’ll explore what approach may be most helpful for your unique needs and create a plan that feels collaborative and achievable. My priority is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the work we will do together.
