Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kadijah. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and EMDR Certified Therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, overthinking, trauma, intrusive thoughts, perfectionism, and the pressure of being the “strong one” in their relationships, families, or communities. Many of the clients I support look like they have it all together on the outside, while carrying a heavy emotional load internally.

I earned my Master’s in Social Work and have extensive experience working with trauma, complex family dynamics, and identity-related stress. As someone who understands the experience of navigating different cultures, roles, and expectations, I offer care that is culturally responsive and affirming of BIPOC, immigrant, first-generation, and LGBTQIA+ identities.

My goal is to create a space where you can finally slow down, exhale, and feel understood without having to perform strength or hide what you’re carrying.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, grounding, and collaborative. I believe your mind and body learned to protect you long before you had the words for what you were holding. Together, we move at a pace that feels steady and safe as we explore the patterns you’ve developed, the stories you’ve carried, and the parts of you that have worked hard to keep you going.

I integrate EMDR, parts work (IFS-informed), mindfulness-based practices, and other evidence-based approaches to support both your mind and your nervous system. You can expect a therapeutic relationship that is compassionate, paced with intention, and rooted in helping you reconnect with a calmer, more trusting relationship with yourself.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other in a comfortable, low-pressure way. You don’t need to have the “perfect words” or a polished story. I’ll guide the conversation thoughtfully, helping you share what feels most important while getting a sense of what you’ve been carrying.

We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to understand or change, and what support might look like for you. My priority is that you feel safe, seen, and grounded. We’ll also discuss whether EMDR or other approaches may be helpful, and we’ll move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
