Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kahesha (KAY-sha) and it will be my absolute pleasure to meet you! I genuinely enjoy connecting deeply with people, hearing their stories, and understanding what makes them who they are. That connection, along with my fascination with the brain and behavior, is what drew me to psychiatry. Also, my personal experience navigating my son's autism diagnosis gave me early exposure to the immense benefits of having a supportive psychiatric and psychotherapeutic team involved in our lives. I personally love to give back with my ability to help people understand the normality of "brain chaos" today, teach about neuroscience in laymen's terms, and help make it easier to navigate, or irradicate! I specialize in children, teens, and adults experiencing ADHD, and also anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, PTSD, sleep disorders, and OCD. I’m naturally curious, bubbly, open-minded, and easy to talk to, and I want you to feel comfortable being yourself and talking about, and managing, the things that matter to you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is simple: there is NO one-size-fits-all treatment. I use medication and therapy when they’re helpful, while also looking at the bigger picture of what helps you feel and function at your best holistically. That might include mindfulness, meditation, spirituality or faith, lifestyle changes, or newer treatments backed by neuroscience. I stay up to date with the latest research in the community and welcome any questions, modalities, or ideas you'd like to receive more information on or explore. My mission is to understand where you are and then help you create a plan that fits your needs, beliefs, and goals so you have the life that you desire.

What you can expect from me

Your first visit is really about getting to know you, not just your symptoms. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what’s been going on in your life, what you’ve tried before, and what you hope to change. You can expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where questions are welcome and nothing feels rushed. By the end, we’ll have a plan that makes sense for you and a clear idea of where we’re headed together.
