Great to meet you!

I come from a complex background, much like many of the clients I serve. I experienced significant challenges and trauma early in life. The support of my high school counselor played a pivotal role in my healing and growth, helping me rediscover hope and resilience. Combined with the meaningful relationship I shared with my mother, these experiences inspired me to become a Clinical Social Worker and Therapist.

Today, I am married with two children, ages 14 and 10, and a loyal dog who is rarely far from my side. Life as a mother of two active boys is full and fast-paced. I am also blessed with many nieces and nephews I adore, and a wide network of family and friends who offer unconditional support when I need it most. As a therapist and social worker, I recognize how fortunate I am to be surrounded by such open, judgment-free relationships—connections that have sustained me through difficult times. I strive to create that same safe and supportive space for my clients, knowing firsthand how transformative it can be.

In my practice, I assure every client that our space is truly safe. I will not judge, be shocked, or take offense. My career has been rich and varied—spanning the full spectrum of human experience, from birth to death. I have had the honor of sitting with individuals and families, children, teens, and adults through some of life’s most challenging moments. It is a privilege to walk alongside them on their journeys.

My approach to therapy

I pull from a multitude of therapeutic practices including CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused, Strength Based Approached, ACT as well as a few others. It's my opinion as a Therapist that we need to utilize whatever tools work best for each situation and/or moment this usually means various approaches. I also discuss with you life a whole and take into account a more holistic process, meaning we talk about your health, your family, your friends, your support systems in place or not. All of those things contribute to our mental health. Together we are working to build, confidence, resiliency, and capacity. We cannot remove life's many stressors but we can build within ourselves the skills and belief that we can handle what life throws our way.

I will be here for you and we will find a way through your struggles together. You are the bus driver and I am your GPS, sometimes I am spot on with where to turn and other times you will know better and I welcome all of your feedback. Working together is the way we get you to where you want to be.

What you can expect from me

I will assign "homework" after most sessions. This homework is always tied to the goals we have created together and slowly build upon each other.
