Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Kaitlin Hicks, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care in a supportive and welcoming environment. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, helping clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, stress, and life transitions.

With a personalized approach, I take time to understand each client’s unique needs and goals. I offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning designed to support long-term wellness. I believe effective care comes from collaboration, education, and creating a space where clients feel heard and respected.

My goal is to help clients find balance, improve daily functioning, and feel more confident moving forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and judgment-free. I believe the best outcomes happen when clients feel comfortable, heard, and actively involved in their treatment decisions. I take time to understand each person’s symptoms, lifestyle, strengths, and goals so we can create a treatment plan that feels realistic and effective.

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, stress-related concerns, and emotional regulation challenges. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, and I tailor care to each stage of life. My focus includes thoughtful medication management, education about treatment options, and practical strategies that support overall mental wellness.

I strive to create a calm, supportive environment where clients can build stability, confidence, and lasting progress.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they have time to share their concerns, symptoms, and goals. I begin with a comprehensive evaluation to better understand mental health history, current challenges, medical background, and any previous treatment experiences.

Together, we discuss what has been working, what has not, and what changes the client hopes to see. We then create an individualized treatment plan that may include medication options, lifestyle recommendations, coping strategies, and follow-up care when appropriate.

My goal is for clients to leave the first appointment feeling heard, informed, and hopeful with a clear next step forward.
