Great to meet you!

My primary treatment specialties are working with anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and trauma. My little niche in this large field is specifically adult women who have been undiagnosed or underdiagnosed with ADHD despite having symptoms throughout their lives. Research stresses the most important factor to any helpful therapy experience is feeling connected to your therapist, and I always focus on making each person feel welcome and understood.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy from an eclectic approach, being person-centered but pulling skills from a variety of theories (CBT, DBT, ACT, ERP- to name a few) to meet each client where they are at. All of that is a fancy way of saying I am definitely qualified to be your therapist! I would be the best fit for you if you like humor and creativity while learning and growing. I work best with clients experiencing ADHD, anxiety, and OCD. If you also don’t know exactly what is feeling off, but you haven’t felt like your best “you” lately, I am here for that too. I work with humans 18 and older, of any identity.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is typically me gathering a ton of information, so you can expect me to break up the big info gathering moments by using humor, small talk, and maybe a few distractions. I will also encourage you to ask me questions! I never want to be a cardboard cut-out therapist or a brick wall that gives nothing in return. Ask about my therapy dog or my hobbies! From there I utilize the beginnings of getting to know you to formulate what knowledge gaps I can fill, set a foundation of shared language and understanding, and introduce concepts and skills that will meet you where you are already at.
