Great to meet you!

I deeply care about the wellbeing of others, am perpetually curious, and I love learning. I have been working as a psychotherapist for four years, and have additional experience in public education, higher education, and community development. My education includes a BA in Education from Northwestern College, an MDiv from Duke University, and an MA in Clinical Counseling from a joint program between Garrett and the Center for Religion and Psychotherapy of Chicago. I enjoy working with people who are navigating life transitions, questions of identity, meaning, and purpose, and are searching for a partner in exploration.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I care about authentic connection, meaning, and genuine growth. My approach to therapy is primarily relational and psychodynamic. I utilize techniques from emotionally focused therapy for individuals, attachment theory, and mindful self compassion. In addition to focused training in treating complex trauma, depression, anxiety, burn out, and life transitions, I have specialized training to work with religious, spiritual, and existential concerns.

What you can expect from our first session

I work to co-create a space of gentleness, honesty, and discovery with each person. My style is to work with your priorities and assist you in making sense of what you have experienced, identify where you have felt stuck, and support you in growing into the full person you long to be. The level of direction and structure I provide depends on each person's preferences.
