Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Kaitlyn, a therapist who graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin. I specialize in men's mental health, and I'm deeply committed to helping men feel comfortable, understood, and supported in a therapeutic setting.

I know that seeking therapy can feel like a big step, especially when life is throwing a lot at you at once. Whether you're dealing with stress that feels unmanageable, anxiety that follows you into every part of your day, or a major life transition that has left you feeling uncertain about what comes next, I'm here to help you work through it with practical, evidence-based tools that actually make a difference.

My primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, a well-researched method that focuses on identifying the unhelpful thought patterns driving how you feel and behave, and replacing them with healthier, more grounded ways of thinking and responding. CBT is structured and goal-focused, which means we won't just be talking in circles. Every session is designed to move you forward in a real, measurable way.

I chose to specialize in men's mental health because I believe men deserve a therapy experience that respects how they think, communicate, and process challenges. My goal is to make therapy feel less like something being done to you and more like a practical tool you can use to build the life you want.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and goal-oriented. I see therapy as a partnership, and I bring that mindset into every session. You bring your lived experience and your goals. I bring clinical training, structure, and a set of tools designed to create real, lasting change.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop practical coping skills, and build the kind of meaningful change that carries over into daily life. CBT works especially well for managing stress, anxiety, and the emotional weight that can come with major life transitions, because it gives you concrete strategies rather than just conversation.

I specialize in men's mental health because I understand that men are often navigating unique pressures, expectations, and barriers when it comes to asking for help. In our sessions, you will find a respectful, nonjudgmental space where you can be direct, honest, and fully yourself. There is no pressure to perform or have everything figured out. My job is to make sure you feel understood, empowered, and equipped with skills you can use long after the session ends.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and understanding what brings you to therapy. There is no agenda to rush through and no pressure to share more than you are ready to. You set the pace, and I will meet you exactly where you are.

I create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable opening up at whatever speed feels right for you. Some clients come in knowing exactly what they want to work on. Others are still figuring that out. Both are completely okay. Part of what we will do together in that first session is start to bring some clarity to what is weighing on you and what success looks like for you personally.

By the time we wrap up, we will begin identifying your goals and outlining practical steps to support your progress, so you leave with a clear sense of direction and the confidence that you are in the right place.
