Kaity Stewart

Kaity Stewart PMHNP-BC CNM (pronouns: they/them) is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner [PMHNP-BC]. Kaity has dual specialty and certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife and training in perinatal mental health, they are certified as a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist and are very comfortable providing medication management and therapeutic support to people navigating any aspect of reproductive health.

Kaity currently is able to work with clients of any gender identity who are age 12 and up. They have specialized experience with LGBTQIA2S+ affirming care, gender expansive care, complex and acute PTSD, loss/grief/tragedy, and integrative/alternative/emerging treatments for mental health. Kaity is cognizant of the mental health impacts of individual/systemic racism, including from the mental health system, and they strive for cultural humility with all of their clients.

Kaity's approach to care is first and foremost to be fully present as another human with you and to hear and understand your story. Both medication and therapy can be helpful tools for a fulfilling life, but Kaity believes in the inner healing intelligence of clients, and that you ultimately hold the answer to your own healing. They view their care as a guide/support in figuring out how to connect with this part of you, and in helping you transform and integrate any disconnecting forces.
