Kaleah Tawatao

Prior to starting my college career, I knew I wanted to help others in any way possible. I graduated in 2021 and received my Bachelor's in both Social Work and Sociology from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. During that time, I spent my practicum hours helping individuals and families in hospice, as well as those in the unhoused community. In 2022, I received my Master's in Social Work after completing the Advanced Standing Program at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. At the end of 2022, I began my clinical internship working with complex adults and children. Since then, I have been able to get trained in different treatment modalities such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

When it comes to my approach to therapy, I view my client and I as a team. I am there to guide my clients through their highs and lows of life by being their lighthouse that provides them with both hope and strength through dark times.

In a first session with me, my client can expect to have a breath of fresh air by releasing any harbored thoughts or emotions. They can expect to be heard and understood when discussing initial topics or building rapport.
