Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor providing telehealth therapy to adults in Virginia and New Jersey. I earned my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and specialize in supporting neurodivergent individuals and people who have experienced trauma.

My work is grounded in a trauma-informed and relational approach. I draw from several therapeutic frameworks, including psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These approaches help clients process difficult experiences, build greater self-understanding, and move toward meaningful change.

I believe therapy is not about “fixing” you, but about creating space to understand your experiences, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward healing in a way that feels authentic to you. My goal is to create a supportive space where you feel respected, understood, and able to show up as your full self.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s unique experiences. I integrate psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and EMDR to support both insight and healing.

In our work together, we may explore how past experiences shape current patterns, while also developing practical tools to navigate emotions, relationships, and life’s challenges. I often incorporate parts-based work and mindfulness-informed strategies to help clients build self-awareness and self-compassion. When appropriate, EMDR can be used to help process traumatic or distressing experiences in a structured and supportive way.

I view therapy as a relational process. Healing often happens when we feel truly seen and understood, and I strive to create a space where insight, safety, and growth can develop at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for our work together. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what challenges you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope might feel different in your life.

I’ll ask some questions to understand your background, current concerns, and goals, but there’s no pressure to share everything right away. My goal is to create a comfortable, collaborative environment where you feel heard and supported.

By the end of the session, we’ll start identifying areas we might focus on together and discuss what the therapy process may look like moving forward, including whether approaches like EMDR might be helpful for your goals.
