First of all, it takes a lot of courage to take that first step and reach out to find support. In my therapy practice, I recognize the strength it takes to ask for help, and I focus on building a good foundation for the therapeutic relationship with warmth, humor, and open-mindedness. I like to use an eclectic blend of therapy modalities, including CBT to understand the mind-behavior connection, somatic and mindfulness practices to manage stress and anxiety, and a holistic "de-colonized" approach, because our environments contribute to our overall mental health. As your therapist, I fully believe in meeting you where you're at and offering a new perspective to help you work through life stressors, anxiety, religious trauma, and depression.
