Great to meet you!

My name is Kalie Sumple (she/her/hers), and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have earned a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Stetson University and obtained my undergraduate degree in forensic psychology from Southern New Hampshire University. I have a background in working with adolescents and adults. My areas of interest are BPD, Anxiety, Depression, OCD, ADHD, and identity development which includes Gender Dysphoria. As your therapist, I will create a safe space where I will support you while using techniques such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to improve, change, and manage aspects of your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to provide acceptance and unconditional positive regard, with an ability to challenge willfulness in a gentle yet firm way. I find this can be most effective to encourage change. I consider myself adaptable in this approach to meet my client's needs.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to create an open and safe space where my clients can be their most authentic selves without fear of judgement. I typically set the outcome of decreasing distressing experiences through growth, building coping skills, and developing improved self-confidence and self-worth. I am transparent with the process of therapy and the work, in and out of session, that is required by my clients to implement and maintain change.
