I began my career in behavioral therapy, working with children on the autism spectrum. This led me to the more flexible and client-focused field of counseling! I received a wonderful education at Troy University followed by an intensive registered internship with children in child welfare. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, and tend to have a strong passion for working with children, teens, and young adults.
As a therapist working mostly with kids and teens, no matter the treatment modality I make sure sessions are enjoyable, low-pressure, and my clients want to come back. I strongly value the trusting therapeutic relationship and creating a safe space during sessions. I mostly use a combination of EMDR, play therapy, and eclectic talk and art techniques.
Most of my clients share goals of feeling more at ease, able to accept themselves and their experiences, and improving their ability to utilize healthy coping skills to manage stress. Clients leave feeling empowered, self-understood, and able to work through both daily struggles and deep-rooted history of trauma.
