Great to meet you!

Life can shift without warning. A diagnosis, an accident, a loss, or a sudden change in your health can leave you feeling like a stranger in your own life. I work with adults navigating exactly these kinds of disruptions, the ones that change not just your circumstances but your sense of self. With a background in rehabilitation counseling and healthcare, I help people make sense of what's happened, adjust to what's changed, and find steadier ground without losing sight of who they are.

My approach to therapy

Our sessions are a place where all of what you're carrying is welcome, including the parts that feel hard to name. I draw on motivational interviewing to help you tap into your own reasons for change, solution-focused approaches to identify what's already working, and acceptance-based strategies to help you make peace with what can't be undone. I pay attention to both the emotional weight of what you're going through and the practical realities you're managing day to day, because both matter.

What you can expect from me

The first session is really a conversation. I'll ask about what's brought you in, what life has looked like recently, and what you're hoping therapy can help with. There's no pressure to share everything at once or to have it all figured out before we start. By the end of our first meeting, we'll have a clearer picture of what you need and what working together could look like. Most people leave feeling a little lighter just from having had the space to say things out loud.
