Great to meet you!

Ciao! I’m Kandice, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC). I'm so glad you're here. If you're someone who's used to being the strong one — the person others lean on — while quietly carrying anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, shame, or a feeling of being stuck, you're exactly who I love working with. Many of the women I work with are exhausted from holding it all together and are ready for a space where they don't have to perform strength, where they can just be.

My approach to therapy

In our work together, I bring in psychodrama and other action-oriented techniques, which means we won't just talk about what's stuck — we'll actually move through it. Alongside that, I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you build a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and feelings, mindfulness meditation to bring you back into the present moment, and inner child work to gently address the roots of patterns that started long before adulthood. I also lean on intuitive, creative approaches when traditional talk therapy isn't quite reaching the heart of things.

What that means for you: if you've tried therapy before and felt like you were just talking in circles, this is different. We'll get curious, we'll get creative, and yes — we'll probably laugh sometimes too. I believe humor has a place in healing.

What you can expect from me

At the core of it, I think therapy is about real connection — being fully seen, beyond the roles you play for everyone else. In our first session, you can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space where we start to understand your goals and the deeper wounds that brought you here. I'll meet you exactly where you are, with thoughtful questions, honest reflection, and room to feel things at your own pace. I also believe therapists should do their own inner work, and I bring that same commitment to growth into every session I hold for my clients.
