Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Kaneaster Hodges, I’m a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor, helping people navigate life’s challenges. My therapeutic approach blends psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and person-centered psychotherapy to provide tailored support for anxiety, depression, and trauma. I believe in the power of a collaborative therapeutic relationship to promote lasting change, and I work alongside my clients to explore and understand their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions; dreams, fantasies, and ambitions.

My approach to therapy

I take a holistic, integrative approach to therapy that draws from psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and supportive psychotherapy techniques. My goal is to create a space where you can reflect on your experiences, explore the underlying reasons for your challenges, and learn tools to build lasting resilience. Whether you are dealing with the aftermath of a traumatic event, struggling with mental health symptoms, or seeking deeper meaning and understanding in your life, I’m here to help you find insight and healing.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other and lay the foundation for our work together. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported. In this session, we'll go over important details like informed consent so you know what to expect from therapy. I'll also share more about my background and approach. Then, I'd love to learn about you—your experiences, what’s bringing you to therapy, and what you hope to achieve—so I can understand how best to support you. Together, we'll start shaping a path forward that feels right for you.
