Great to meet you!

I am a bilingual psychologist providing therapy in both English and Japanese. My clinical training in both Japan and the United States has shaped my understanding of how culture, relationships, and life experiences influence mental health.

I have extensive experience working with Japanese, Asian, immigrant, expatriate, and other culturally diverse clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity concerns, grief, and relationship challenges. Whether you are adjusting to a new environment, balancing multiple cultures, or facing a major life change, I strive to provide a warm, supportive space where you feel genuinely understood and empowered to move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your individual needs. While my work is grounded in person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I take an integrative approach, incorporating mindfulness-based and other third-wave behavioral therapies when they best fit your goals and preferences.

I integrate evidence-based treatments with an understanding of cultural values and life transitions. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, I work with you to create a treatment plan that reflects your unique experiences, strengths, values, and cultural background.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a thoughtful, collaborative, and supportive space where we explore both current challenges and the experiences that may be shaping them. Together, we will work toward deeper self-understanding, healthier ways of coping, and practical changes that fit your life.

My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more confident in navigating stress and life transitions, and better able to respond to difficult emotions with flexibility and self-compassion.
