Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Kara. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker & EMDR and Perinatal Mental Health certified therapist. I specialize in treating complex trauma, perinatal mental health, mood concerns, & attachment wounds. My clients are often adults who have experienced trauma or are navigating concerns related to depression, anxiety, or interpersonal issues. I also recognize there is a special space needed for exploring pregnancy, infertility, loss, postpartum mood changes, & transitions into parenthood.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Trauma & attachment theory guide much of my work. In addition to EMDR and perinatal mental health, I have pursued extensive training in other modalities such as Internal Family Systems, CBT & Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT, & Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency (ARC). I have completed 3 years of training with the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute. I utilize a combination of approaches to help process painful experiences, explore new coping strategies, and increase resources to help you heal.
